FECHA
Saint Of The Day:

John Chapman,
better known as Johnny Appleseed.

Today is Johnny Appleseed Day, and the 150th anniversary of Johnny Appleseed's death, in Allen County, Indiana, on March 11, 1847. Chapman planted countless orchards througout rural America and as far west as the Ohio Valley.

He was also a protector of wildlife and regarded by Native Americans as a great medicine man. Model: Chapman's generous spirit. If the world is divided into two kinds of people, givers and takers, Johnny Appleseed was a giver. He never cared about making money.

He just wanted to share, and he found something good to share: red, rosy apples. What will you find to share? March 11 - John Chapman, better known as Johnny Appleseed. Your Birthday Today:

February 17

Day of the Warrior
Aquarius

Pros
Unyielding, Spiritual, Sensitive

Cons
Armored, Isolated, Stuck

A rock. If you were born on February 17, you are extremely sensitive but have developed a tough hide to do battle with the world. Sometimes you see battles where there are none. Ruled by the number 8 and the planet Saturn, you can be secretive and suspicious.

Defensive line. As a youngster, you learned that your sensitive nature would not survive without strong defenses. In less advanced people, these defenses take the form of the aforementioned secretiveness and suspicion. But more mature types defend themselves by building talent, knowledge or physical presence. All individuals born on this day tend to distance themselves from influences, good or bad.

True believer. You are not an idealist but a realist, very aware of society's inequalities and unfairness. Whether poor or upper class, you are convinced that you can overcome any obstacles to emerge a winner. You are the human bulldozer. But first you must do battle with yourself to shape the person you want to be.

Penetrating the armor. You can be touched by love and affection, but the sentiment has to be direct and sincere. No game playing or coyness allowed. You are so preoccupied in your self-fulfillment, however, that you might ignore such advances.

Calm before the storm. You are always willing to fight for yourself, friends, family, even strangers sometimes. However, you are not overly aggressive or quick tempered. You have an impressive calmness that makes others take notice. Some may mistake this calm for passivity--big mistake.

Some advice: Keep your self open to the people around you. At least let others look in if access is denied. Use your sensitivity to teach you the way to spiritual life. Don't be too secretive or suspicious.
